Living with parents during the coronavirus lockdown

Like many in their twenties I have been spending an increasing amount of time at my parents house during the coronavirus lockdown. Whilst I was already living with my parents, the increased time spent at home has made me realise the difficulties on both sides of moving back home as an adult. I’ve found myself reverting back to my childhood ways, cleaning less and cooking less. Plus generally being more lazy around the house. I’ve found myself regressing from the age of 24 to 16 at home (I’m not proud of it!) Luckily I am a key worker so am spending a lot less time at home than many, and I work six days a week, yet I am still desperately craving my independence. Whilst the cost of rent and the need to pay off my university debt has prevented me from moving out and let to me living at home for nearly twelve months, I am looking forwards to making preparations to move out into a shared house by the time the pandemic ends. I am going to save as much as possible in the meantime to make this an option.
