Backpacking around the world without catching a single aeroplane – Hokkaido
Japan consists of four main islands: Honshu (the largest containing Tokyo), Kyushu (the westernmost closest to South Korea), Shikuko (the smallest and most rural underneath Honshu) and finally Hokkaido in the north.
Spot of Tuesday Trouble
I was on my way to bowling and was excited to see some friends after a hard days work. Got into town a bit early as I had grabbed a cheeky subway and was driving with a nicely full belly ready to get a strike or two.
In my rear view mirror I could see a police van with the flashing lights on, so naturally assumed they were on their way to stop a crime somewhere and pulled in on the pavement to let them pass… but they didn’t.
