The Blue Lagoon, Iceland
We arrived in Iceland late afternoon in February so it was already getting dark. After a stuffy flight, heading straight to the Blue Lagoon is a fantastic way to get refreshed and relax.
A Learning Experience in Spain by Cindy Chen Designs
I I have trouble settling down in one place. As the youngest kid I travelled with my parents constantly to different countries. And since I moved to the US when I was 18, I moved apartments and cities almost every year.
The Power of a Like-Minded Community to Benefit Your Mental Health
I went to a free Sausage Sizzle at my church today (if you’re not Australian, Google it).
It was the first time going to church in months. I was greeted by a few people I knew, “Charli! Long time no see! How are you?” and it warmed my heart. Belted out some hymns, we started on a new series of sermons, all in all it felt like a great return to church for me.

Near Death Experience in Paradise
The year was 2015 and I was living my best life as an expat in the jungles of Gabon in central Africa. My existence consisted of predictable days of 12 hours of sunlight and 12 of night time as you’d expect from a country situated at the equator. I was wrapping up a 5-month stint and my near-death experience occurred approximately 2 weeks before I was scheduled to return to life in the civilized West.
Exploring Copenhagen
I have wanted to go to Copenhagen for a while but I forced myself to wait until the Summer to make sure I got the most out of it. In the last weekend of April I finally got there!
A Man Goes Circle Dancing
In 1990 my wife persuaded me to go to a Circle Dance Group. I felt very awkward, embarrassed and convinced I would be no good. My experience in life suggested that men didn’t do this kind of thing.
